The TS Shaftsinking and Drilling Division offers customers worldwide a range of mining based services built around its expertise in shaft sinking, shaft boring and drilling.
Our ability to access the resources of subsidiaries and affiliates around the world gives us the capacity to respond quickly to provide the manning levels, manpower skills and technical equipment needed for the job.
In view of the growing shortage of the world’s raw materials it is now more important than ever to be able to develop the natural resources still available to us.
This is an area in which Thyssen Schachtbau GmbH, through its Shaftsinking and Drilling Division, has been involved at national and international level for more than 100 years – with a portfolio of over 270 shafts completed worldwide. The company is now

As well as conventional shaft sinkings we also specialise in cementation and freeze-shaft work and in fully mechanised shaft boring projects.
In addition to our German-based operations we also have commissions from major clients in
Russia
and
Switzerland
, where we are currently deploying the latest sinking technology to construct shafts under the most difficult geological and climatic conditions.
